Cleared to Engage helps you buy flight sim hardware that fits the way you fly. We compare HOTAS sticks, yokes, throttles, rudder pedals, panels and cockpit frames, and we check which ones work with Microsoft Flight Simulator, X-Plane, Xbox and PS5 before you spend money.

How we compare hardware

Every guide starts with the aircraft you fly and the platform you fly on. A yoke suits airliners and trainers. A stick and throttle suits fighters and space games. Console pilots need gear that is licensed for their console, so we check that first.

Specs come from the maker’s own product pages and current retail listings. Where a detail is unclear or sources disagree, we say so or leave it out. We do not test hardware by hand, and we never invent prices, ratings or test results.

How we choose products

Our picks are matched to a job: the best yoke for a PC trainer, the best Xbox-licensed stick, the best pedals on a budget desk. Each pick names who it suits and one real trade-off.
